These sites push artworks to exist within the conditions of raw land, distance, time, and drastic seasonal shifts. We do this to facilitate the conception of lasting art outside of the expectations implemented by established traditional institutions and fleeting nature of near-term market demands.

Soon Foundation for the Arts Inc. operates as a nonprofit cultural infrastructure organization within a broader vision to make Alaska a new frontier for place-based, contemporary art and architecture.
